BS EN1492-2 2006/42/EC 7:1 Safety Factor 100% Polyester Colour Coded To WLL
Every round sling we manufacture is built to BS EN1492-2 and conforms to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The safety factor on our polyester round slings is 7:1, the recognised minimum for textile lifting slings in general industry. The load-bearing fibres are 100% high-tenacity polyester, colour-coded to working load limit, so the right sling is easy to pick off the rack.
Because the working fibres sit protected inside a seamless cover, a round sling wears evenly along its length and resists twisting and kinking. It flattens under load to grip without crushing, will not mark delicate or painted surfaces, and is unaffected by grease and oils, making it a natural choice for choke lifting and handling finished or fragile loads.
Working load limits depend on the lifting angle and the way the sling is used, so the right sling for the job matters as much as the standard it is built to.
